Esmario Marine Export Enterprises

>> Collaboration with Marine Power Int.

In the year that India had its tryst with destiny 50 years ago, an entrepreneur with a vision to contribute to the task of nation building commenced operations, dedicated to help build the infrastructure that would transform the country into an industrial giant. Guided by an unwavering commitment to quality, adhering to punishing time schedules, delivering value for money-on time; winning laurels for excellence of his work, the respect and envy of his competitors.

Founded by GJ Fernandez, who set out to crave a niche in the industry, Esmario now has become one of India's leading exporters of fish and marine products. At our modern plant in Kerala we process a wide variety of marine products like Shrimps, Squid, Octopus, Cuttle fish, Clams etc.

San Marina has just finalized a joint venture project with Esmario to put up India's first high tech closed circulating aquaculture project.

Riches from the Sea

A large seafood processing plant heralded the firm's diversification. Set up in 1968 at Kollam in the picturesque backwaters of Kerala, Esmario Export Enterprises processes seafood to exacting international quality standards. Care is taken to ensure processing is done in stringent hygienic conditions. The plant incorporates facilities for water and effluent treatment. Standby power and other requirements are provided making it easy for the firm to meet revised EEC norms and FDA regulations. The firm won the Government of India's prestigious National Award for Outstanding Export Performance for 1969-70.

In 1974, the company acquired two sea trawlers from Mexico to strengthen its fishing fleet. In 1996 Esmario launched into the domestic market, its brand of fish and prawn pickles. It will soon launch its tongue-smacking delicacies for which there is a ready market in South Asia, Middle East, and regions worldwide targeting the sizable population from the Asian sub-continent and others who appreciate Indian flavor.
